Job Overview

PASONS Group is seeking an experienced Senior IT Administrator to manage and maintain our on-premises server infrastructure and retail technology systems. This role requires expertise in server administration, network management, and IT security to support our data center operations and retail outlets across multiple locations in the UAE.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing our virtualization environment using VMWare, managing storage solutions such as SAN, NAS, and offline HDD storage, and ensuring seamless network connectivity. You will handle comprehensive data backup, disaster recovery, and restoration procedures critical to retail system continuity.

In addition, this role involves administration of IT security systems including antivirus monitoring, firewall configurations, and ensuring compliance with SIRA standards. Acting as the main point of contact for retail technology vendors, you will coordinate with providers for POS systems, weighing scales, electronic article surveillance (EAS), CCTV, network equipment, and matrix switches.

Managing telecom relationships with major providers like Etisalat and DU is essential, addressing store connectivity needs, new installations, outage resolutions, and billing. You will also supply IT support for new store openings, refurbishments, system upgrades, and technology rollouts, handling advanced troubleshooting and addressing escalations that impact daily store operations. Approval and oversight of IT procurement related to retail functions form part of your duties.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline
• 5 to 7 years of hands-on experience in IT infrastructure or systems administration, ideally within retail or multi-branch network environments
• Strong technical knowledge of POS systems, security frameworks, networking concepts, and vendor coordination
• Valid UAE driving license is mandatory to support on-site activities and vendor management
