Job Overview

Shati Chemicals is seeking a skilled Senior Accountant to join our finance team. This is a full-time role ideal for a detail-oriented accounting professional who can efficiently manage all aspects of accounting operations independently. The position plays a vital role in supporting the company’s financial activities within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

The Senior Accountant will be responsible for overseeing daily accounting tasks including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations. Accurate payroll processing and employee reimbursements will also be managed. Monitoring cash flow and assisting with budgeting and financial planning are an essential part of the role. The candidate will maintain communication with banks and financial institutions regarding credit facilities and ensure compliance with financial regulations, internal controls, and company accounting policies. Additionally, the Senior Accountant will provide insightful financial reports to management and recommend process improvements. Coordination with external auditors for monthly and annual audits is also expected.

Required Skills and Experience

• Minimum of 6 years experience in a similar Senior Accountant role within the GCC region.
• Strong background managing full-cycle accounting in a medium-sized company.
• Experience supervising or managing accounting staff or bookkeepers.
• Proficiency in handling accounts payable/receivable, payroll, bank reconciliations, and financial compliance.
• Ability to work independently and provide financial insights for business decisions.

Qualifications and Preferences

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline is required.
• CMA certification (USA) is a plus.
• Preference for female candidates, ideally Filipina.
• Age below 40 years is preferred.
• Demonstrated stable employment history with at least 2 years in previous positions.

Salary and Benefits

The salary for this position can go up to AED 10,000 depending on qualifications and experience. The company offers standard UAE employment benefits. The role includes a 6-month probation period. Immediate joiners will be given priority.
