Job Overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented and highly skilled Female Assistant Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial records, and assisting with month-end processes in a dynamic work environment.

Key Responsibilities

The Assistant Accountant will be responsible for managing various accounting tasks including maintaining the Chart of Accounts, handling General Ledger entries, and processing Journal Vouchers. You will oversee sales and purchase invoicing, manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, and perform bank, customer, supplier, and intercompany reconciliations. In addition, you will assist with month-end closing activities, support financial reporting, manage petty cash, and ensure compliance with VAT documentation requirements. Maintaining organized accounting records and assisting in audit processes are also essential duties.

Required Skills and Experience

The position requires strong hands-on experience with accounting procedures and software, specifically proficiency in Zoho Books or Zoho ERP. Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel are highly preferred to efficiently manage data and reporting tasks. Candidates must have a solid understanding of accounting principles and internal financial controls. High attention to detail, analytical problem-solving abilities, and excellent organizational skills are essential. The ability to handle multiple priorities independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment is crucial.

Qualifications

Applicants should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline. A minimum of three years of accounting experience within the UAE is preferred. Experience working in manufacturing or trading companies will be considered an advantage.
