Job Overview

We are looking for a qualified and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team in Dubai, specializing in the food and beverage industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting practices specific to hospitality, restaurant, and retail operations, with proficiency in UAE VAT compliance and financial reporting. This full-time position is based in Jumeirah 3, Dubai.

Key Responsibilities

The Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and supporting efficient monthly closings. Core duties include bookkeeping, reconciling sales and supplier invoices, managing accounts payable, and ensuring transparency in cash and bank transactions. The role also involves payroll support, VAT documentation, inventory cost tracking, and collaborating with diverse operational teams to address financial discrepancies. Maintaining meticulous documentation and assisting in audit preparations is essential to safeguard the company’s financial integrity.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• At least five years of experience in accounting, preferably within hospitality, restaurants, food and beverage, or retail sectors.
• Strong knowledge of bookkeeping, reconciliations, accounts payable, cash control, and financial record-keeping.
• Familiarity with UAE VAT regulations and standard accounting procedures.
• Experience using accounting software, POS reporting tools, spreadsheets, and preparing financial schedules.
• Excellent attention to detail, numerical accuracy, confidentiality, and organizational skills.
• Effective communication skills in English; Arabic language skills are an added advantage.
• Ability to coordinate smoothly with operations, procurement, store, HR, and cashier teams.
