Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Terminal Operations Manager to oversee vessel and yard activities at a multipurpose terminal in Saudi Arabia. This role involves managing a variety of cargo operations including general, bulk, passenger, and heavy-lift vessel movements. The ideal candidate must be based in Saudi Arabia with a valid Iqama and ready to start immediately.

Key Responsibilities

The Terminal Operations Manager will be responsible for safely coordinating vessel berthing and departures, managing shift manpower, and ensuring optimal use of equipment and lifting gear. They will collaborate closely with Engineering for maintenance scheduling and work alongside Berth Planning to enhance vessel productivity.

Additional duties include monitoring yard space efficiency, assigning delivery zones, and addressing issues related to long-stay cargo. The manager will also coordinate with Customer Service and consignees to ensure timely cargo collection and oversee all operational documentation and reporting.

Leading operational teams is essential, including providing training, monitoring performance, and introducing process improvements aimed at cost control. Strict enforcement of health, safety, security, and environmental (HSSE) standards, along with emergency preparedness and maintaining operational compliance, are key aspects of the role.

Required Skills and Experience

• Demonstrated experience in port and multipurpose terminal operations management.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to train and motivate teams.
• Excellent coordination and organizational abilities to manage complex vessel schedules and yard resources.
• In-depth understanding of HSSE practices and terminal compliance requirements.
• Effective communication skills for liaising with various stakeholders including engineers, berth planners, and customer service teams.
