Job Overview

Our client in Saudi Arabia is seeking an experienced Rigging Team Leader to oversee rigging operations during shutdown and turnaround projects in the oil and gas refinery sector. This role offers an excellent opportunity to lead and manage a skilled team while ensuring safe and efficient lifting activities. The position is based in Saudi Arabia and offers a competitive basic salary along with food, accommodation, and transport allowances.

Key Responsibilities

As a Rigging Team Leader, you will be responsible for leading and managing the rigging team, coordinating daily tasks, and fostering skill development within the crew. Supporting the Project Manager, you will optimize resource allocation and team performance to meet project deadlines.

You will also be involved in reviewing and enhancing rigging procedures and operational workflows to improve efficiency. A close collaboration with the HSE team is essential to ensure all lifting operations comply with safety standards and hazard risks are minimized.

Maintaining the condition and certification of rigging equipment and tools will be a critical part of your role. You will be expected to verify that all safety and operational checks are completed prior to any rigging or transfer activities and coordinate with the maintenance team to arrange servicing and recertification of equipment. Managing inventory and keeping accurate records of rigging materials is also required.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in rigging activities, specifically within oil and gas or petrochemical shutdown and turnaround projects.
• Proven track record working with contractors in Saudi Arabia.
• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field.
• Strong leadership abilities with experience managing teams in high-pressure shutdown environments.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Detail-oriented with a quality-driven mindset.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Age limit: up to 45 years.

Benefits

This position offers a competitive basic salary ranging from SAR 7,000 to SAR 10,000, supplemented with allowances for food, accommodation, and transportation (FAT).
