Job Overview
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Work Permit Receiver (WPR) to join a reputable project team based in Saudi Arabia. This full-time, on-site position requires close coordination with site safety teams, ensuring strict compliance with Saudi regulations and client HSE standards in an industrial environment. The ideal candidate will be Aramco WPR certified with a strong background in permit to work systems and site safety management.
Key Responsibilities
The primary duties include receiving, reviewing, and approving work permits issued by the Permit Issuer, monitoring ongoing jobs to identify and respond to changing workplace conditions, and enforcing safety protocols across all work activities. The WPR will conduct Toolbox Talks (TBT) to communicate hazards and control measures to the work crew and verify vital safety processes such as gas testing, Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO), equipment isolation, confined space entry, excavation, hot work, and work at height controls.
Additionally, maintaining rigorous compliance with safety rules, performing regular jobsite inspections, and confirming that risk assessments like Job Safety Analysis (JSA) are properly implemented are essential responsibilities.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in work permit management, ideally within oil and gas or heavy industrial projects
- Valid Aramco Work Permit Receiver certification is highly preferred
- Educational background in Electrical Engineering or a relevant Technical Diploma
- Strong knowledge of Permit to Work (PTW) systems, JSA, LOTO procedures, confined space entry, and hot work permits
- Excellent communication skills to effectively convey safety information to teams
- Familiarity with Saudi Arabia’s safety regulations and client-specific HSE requirements
Preferred Qualifications
Candidates with an engineering background in electrical fields or technical diplomas have an advantage. Proven competency in managing complex work permits in hazardous environments will set applicants apart.
