Job Overview

KMM is looking to hire skilled mechanical professionals specializing in gas and steam turbines for shutdown and outage projects at Qurya, Saudi Arabia. This role involves hands-on mechanical work during turbine maintenance activities, ensuring high-quality inspections and repairs.

Key Responsibilities

Candidates will be directly involved in turbine outage tasks such as combustion and hot gas path inspections for gas turbines, as well as steam piping and valve inspections for steam turbines. Responsibilities include conducting turbine alignments, running precise runout checks, managing couplings, and using specialized hydraulic and heating tools to support equipment removal and assembly.

Required Skills and Experience

For gas turbine professionals, a minimum of 3–5 years’ experience is essential, particularly with large gas turbines. Candidates must be proficient in combustion inspections, handling hot gas path components, and familiar with fuel systems, piping, compressed air systems, and valves. Experience with precision measuring instruments like vernier calipers, micrometers, and feeler gauges is required, along with practical use of hydraulic tools such as ITH and HYTORC.

Steam turbine specialists should also bring 3–5 years of hands-on experience in managing large steam turbines during outages. Strong knowledge of steam piping, valves, aligning turbines, and performing runout checks is necessary. The candidate should be skilled in precision measurement and experienced in resistance heating, oxy-acetylene heating, and heavy lifting support during maintenance.

Qualifications

Previous experience with OEMs or OEM contractors such as GE, Siemens, Dresser-Rand, Mitsubishi, Elliott, MAN Turbo, Caterpillar, or Rolls-Royce is highly valued for both gas and steam turbine roles. Applications without direct turbine outage experience, or those focused solely on plant operations, office duties, or routine maintenance, will not be considered.
