Job Overview

We are currently looking for an experienced Senior Planning Engineer to join a prominent industrial construction project based in Ras Tanura, Eastern Province, Saudi Arabia. This permanent role offers an excellent opportunity to apply your expertise in project control within a large-scale industrial or EPC construction environment.

Key Responsibilities

The Senior Planning Engineer will be responsible for developing and managing the baseline project schedule to ensure timely delivery. Monitoring project progress and conducting critical path analysis will be integral parts of the role. You will lead cost control efforts, including forecasting and trend analysis, as well as performing comprehensive Cost and Schedule Risk Analysis (SRA).

Additional duties include reviewing and approving contractor schedules, handling change control processes and contract variation orders, and preparing detailed weekly and monthly progress reports. Coordination with finance teams will be necessary to support cash flow forecasting. You will also assist with benchmarking activities and project closeout reporting to conclude projects effectively.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
• At least 8 years of planning and project controls experience, with a minimum of 5 years working in the Middle East, preferably Saudi Arabia
• Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) or an equivalent certification from a recognized institute (mandatory)
• Proven track record in large industrial construction or capital projects
• Advanced skills in Oracle Primavera P6 are required
• Strong expertise in cost control, forecasting, and schedule risk analysis
• Experience in heavy industrial facilities, processing plants, refineries, or similar large-scale construction projects is highly preferred
