Job Overview
Join a dynamic and expert team supporting sales and finance functions through insightful analytics in the Medical Devices sector. This role forms part of a center of excellence that supports commercial operations across the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) regions for Smith & Nephew. Focus areas include Business Intelligence, Sales Force Effectiveness (SFE), Tender management, Sales Operations, and Pricing.
As a key member of this team, you will provide comprehensive analysis using secondary data and primary research to uncover valuable commercial and marketing insights. Collaboration with Sales and Marketing leaders within country clusters, alongside Finance, Supply Chain, and Customer Service teams, is vital. This position is based in Saudi Arabia and reports directly to the Commercial Director for MEA located in Dubai.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze sales and business data by extracting and synthesizing information from multiple data sources to evaluate franchise and brand performance, strategic events, and sales pipelines, delivering actionable insights to stakeholders.
- Manage incentive compensation schemes by leveraging detailed knowledge of field force incentive systems, providing scheme calculations, adjustments, and addressing field force queries. Develop consolidated dashboards to monitor incentive compensation and performance against variable pay.
- Handle ad hoc requests related to sales reporting, performance tracking, and incentive management.
- Maintain and update distributor price lists, ensuring accuracy through detailed and complex data reconciliation between various sources before releasing to third-party resellers.
- Oversee field sales contests and awards reporting, guaranteeing timely and precise recognition and promotion reports. Coordinate national sales meeting timelines and reports with sales operations leads across country clusters.
- Support sales force alignments, segmentation, targeting, and business planning initiatives to maximize overall sales productivity.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- At least 7 years of proven experience as a data or business analyst.
- Strong expertise in financial or pricing analytics is mandatory.
- Familiarity with commercial business processes such as sales or pricing analytics is highly preferred.
- Understanding of business intelligence concepts and data warehousing/analytics principles.
- Experience within the medical devices, equipment, hospital supplies, or pharmaceutical sectors is advantageous.
- Proficient in reporting and dashboard tools, with experience in SAP, CRM, or similar commercial IT systems valued.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is essential.
