Job Overview

We are a single-owner manual poultry slaughterhouse located in Al-Ahsa, Eastern Province, Saudi Arabia, seeking a highly experienced General Manager. This leadership role is essential for supporting the owner in managing daily operations and driving significant business growth. The ideal candidate will focus extensively on sales, customer acquisition, distribution network expansion, and building a comprehensive customer database to elevate the company’s market presence.

Key Responsibilities

The General Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the manual poultry processing operations, including receiving live birds, slaughtering, cleaning, chilling, packaging, and dispatch. Maintaining strict adherence to food safety, hygiene, and compliance with Saudi Arabian halal standards is critical. Additionally, this role involves team management duties such as training, scheduling, and evaluating staff performance. The candidate will also handle basic accounting, inventory control, and cost management tasks.

Furthermore, a major focus will be on driving sales and expanding the business. This includes actively acquiring new customers, negotiating deals, opening new distribution channels, and growing the sales volume through strategic initiatives tailored to the local market.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• A minimum of 10 years proven experience managing manual or semi-manual poultry slaughterhouses or processing plants within Saudi Arabia.
• Deep and up-to-date understanding of the Saudi poultry market, particularly the dynamics in the Eastern Province and Al-Ahsa region.
• Expertise in local regulations including SFDA requirements, halal certification, and municipal rules relating to poultry operations.
• A strong track record in sales, customer acquisition, and business development within the poultry or broader food sector.
• Proven ability to optimize manual production processes while prioritizing product quality and operational efficiency.
• Excellent leadership traits, able to maintain organization and decisiveness under pressure.
• Fluent in English; Arabic language skills are a plus.
