Job Overview

A well-established structural steel manufacturing company located in Riyadh is seeking a skilled QC Engineer with strong expertise in structural steel fitting and welding inspection. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of hands-on experience in structural steel fabrication and quality control to ensure high standards in production processes.

Key Responsibilities

The QC Engineer will be responsible for implementing and overseeing the Quality Control Plan (QCP) related to structural steel fabrication projects. This role entails conducting thorough visual and dimensional inspections of steel structures, verifying fit-up, welding, and final assemblies. Ensuring that welding activities adhere strictly to approved Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) is crucial, along with checking all dimensions and alignments against fabrication drawings. The QC Engineer will also handle review and verification of Material Test Certificates (MTC), maintain material traceability, prepare detailed inspection reports, and manage non-conformance reports (NCRs). Coordination with third-party inspectors and clients during inspection phases and supervision of Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) activities such as Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), and Penetrant Testing (PT) are essential parts of the role.

Required Skills and Experience

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in structural steel fabrication and quality control inspection.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting structural steel drawings.
• Competent in using MS Office applications and AutoCAD software.
• Fluent in English with strong communication, reading, and writing skills.
• Direct experience with welding inspection and steel fitting processes.

Additional Requirements

Applicants must be willing to undergo sponsorship transfer as per company policy. The position is based at the Riyadh facility near Istanbul Street, close to Masjid Fauzan.
