Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Embedded Firmware Engineer to join our research and development team located in Saudi Arabia. This role requires an individual with extensive experience in firmware development, particularly in embedded systems and real-time operating environments. The ideal candidate will be proficient in developing efficient and reliable firmware solutions using a variety of programming languages and microcontroller platforms.

Key Responsibilities

The Embedded Firmware Engineer will be responsible for designing, coding, and testing firmware for embedded systems. This includes working on real-time operating systems (RTOS) such as FreeRTOS as well as bare metal programming. You will collaborate closely with hardware engineers and software developers to integrate various modules and optimize system performance. Additionally, documenting code and maintaining version control practices using Git is expected.

Required Skills and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering with a focus on Electronics, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of professional experience in embedded firmware development.
• Strong knowledge of embedded systems including real-time firmware design for ARM Cortex-M microcontrollers.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, C#, Python, JavaScript, and VHDL.
• Experience working with peripherals and modules like ADC, DAC, PWM, RTC, RTT, and DMA.
• Familiarity with Git for version control.
• Good command of English for effective communication.

Preferred Qualifications

• Understanding of communication and networking protocols to enhance device interoperability.
• Background in Digital Signal Processing (DSP) techniques.
• Ability to write production-quality, maintainable, and well-documented code.
• Knowledge of software engineering standards such as ISO or IEEE.

Location and Eligibility

This position is based in Saudi Arabia. Applications will be accepted only from candidates with Pakistani or Indian nationality.
