Job Overview

We are seeking a qualified Electrical Technician with experience in Aramco projects, specifically within oil and gas, refinery, or petrochemical plants. The role focuses on maintaining electrical systems and equipment in the Sulfur Forming Unit (SFU) at an Aramco refinery located in Jizan. This position is critical for ensuring the plant’s electrical operations run safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

The Electrical Technician will be responsible for carrying out preventive, predictive, corrective, and emergency maintenance tasks on electrical equipment and systems. Key duties include maintaining low and medium voltage electrical components such as switchgear, motor control centers (MCCs), transformers, and distribution panels. Troubleshooting electrical faults, diagnosing power distribution issues, and performing insulation resistance testing are crucial parts of this role.

Required Skills and Experience

• At least 3 to 5 years of industrial electrical maintenance experience in heavy industries such as petrochemical, refinery, sulfur processing, fertilizer, or power generation sectors.
• Proficiency in handling electrical systems within hazardous and classified environments.
• Strong knowledge of low voltage (LV) and medium voltage (MV) electrical systems.
• Expertise in troubleshooting electrical faults, including short circuits, earth faults, and equipment failures.
• Hands-on experience with motor, MCC, transformer, and variable frequency drive (VFD) maintenance and testing.

Safety and Compliance

This position requires strict adherence to all safety protocols including Permit-to-Work (PTW), Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), isolation procedures, and energy control measures to ensure a safe working environment.
