Key Responsibilities
The responsibilities include guiding the construction of low-voltage electrical systems for outdoor lighting, planning and supervising team workflows, and standardizing construction procedures. Candidates must participate in reviewing electrical construction drawings, preparing technical schemes, and delivering safety and technical training to the construction team. The role involves overseeing installation, commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting of electrical equipment such as low-voltage distribution cabinets, cables, landscape and street lighting fixtures, grounding, and lightning protection systems. Ensuring all processes comply with IEC standards and local regulations is essential, alongside effective coordination with project stakeholders.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Automation, Mechatronics, or related fields is required.
- Proficient understanding of 0.4kV low-voltage power distribution systems, outdoor lighting wiring, installation standards, and electrical principles.
- Ability to review detailed electrical construction drawings and prepare technical documentation and safety disclosures.
- Experience with lighting equipment such as floodlights, street lights, landscape lights, and components from notable brands like ABB, Schneider, or Siemens.
- Expertise in electrical calculations for voltage drop, load, and short-circuit current.
- Familiarity with IEC and local low-voltage electrical codes and project-specific technical standards.
- Strong on-site construction supervision and training capabilities to standardize team operations and ensure safety compliance.
- Excellent communication skills for effective coordination with teams, owners, and cross-functional stakeholders.
Experience and Certifications
- Minimum 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in low-voltage electrical construction management, preferably in outdoor lighting or similar large-scale outdoor projects.
- Proven track record of directing on-site teams, managing work sequences, and providing skill training.
- Preference given to candidates familiar with construction safety controls and challenges of outdoor environments.
- Possession of low-voltage electrician certification and electrical engineer professional qualifications is advantageous.
- Additional safety certifications such as OSHA, NEBOSH, or First Aid are a plus.
