Job Overview

We are currently looking for a skilled Cost Control Engineer to join our team. This role focuses on managing project finances, overseeing cost control processes, and maintaining strict budget adherence for construction and EPC projects. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in engineering cost management and excel in financial reporting and analysis to support project success.

Key Responsibilities

The Cost Control Engineer will be responsible for preparing and monitoring project budgets, developing cash flow forecasts, and tracking expenditures throughout project phases. Key duties include analyzing cost variances, producing detailed cost reports, progress valuations, and management dashboards. The role involves close collaboration with project managers, procurement, and finance teams to address cost-related issues. Additionally, reviewing Bills of Quantities (BOQs), variation orders, and claims will be part of daily activities, along with supporting audit processes and ensuring compliance with company financial policies. The engineer will contribute valuable input during project planning and execution stages to maintain financial discipline.

Required Skills and Qualifications

The candidate must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering and have at least five years of experience in cost control within the construction or EPC sectors. A solid understanding of budgeting, cost reporting, and project control methodologies is essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and cost control software is required, while experience with ERP systems is considered a plus. Strong analytical abilities, clear communication, and detailed reporting skills are necessary for success in this role.
