Job Overview

We are currently seeking an experienced Cost Control Engineer to join our team in Saudi Arabia. This role focuses on supporting financial planning, cost monitoring, and budget management for projects within the construction or EPC sectors. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring cost accuracy, forecasting, and compliance with company financial guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

The Cost Control Engineer will be responsible for preparing and managing project budgets, cost plans, and cash flow forecasts. You will monitor expenditures closely and analyze any cost variances to maintain financial control. The role involves generating detailed cost reports, progress valuations, and management dashboards. Additionally, collaboration with project management, procurement, and finance teams is critical to effectively address cost-related issues. Responsibilities also include reviewing Bills of Quantities (BOQs), variation orders, and claims to evaluate their cost impact. Ensuring adherence to company policies during audits and providing cost control insights throughout project planning and execution are integral parts of this position.

Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal applicant will hold a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and bring at least 5 years of relevant cost control experience within construction or EPC projects. A strong understanding of budgeting processes, cost reporting techniques, and project control methods is essential. Proficiency with MS Excel and specialized cost control software is expected, while experience with ERP systems is considered a plus. Excellent analytical, communication, and reporting skills are necessary to effectively manage project financial data.
