Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Manager of Projects to lead and oversee project management activities across Saudi Arabia and Bahrain. This role focuses on delivering consistent and effective management of all projects within these locations, ensuring successful project execution, ongoing capability development, and staff training growth.

Key Responsibilities

The Manager of Projects will guide project managers and engineers to maintain full compliance with Worley’s Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards. This includes developing proactive HSE initiatives, managing workplace safety, minimizing environmental impact, and promoting a culture of zero harm across all operations.

Additional responsibilities include championing the Worley Project Management Process (WPMP), implementing company-wide systems, and driving continuous improvements within the team. The role requires overseeing client relationships to ensure stakeholder needs are understood and met effectively.

Performance management is key, involving supervision, coaching, and equipping project teams to meet targets related to health, safety, commercial goals, schedules, and customer satisfaction. The Manager will also coordinate regular project reviews, monitor project health, and report performance updates to senior leadership.

Quality assurance responsibilities include ensuring compliance with WPMP and EM systems, conducting mini-audits, and fostering knowledge sharing on best practices and lessons learned.

Supporting recruitment, personnel allocation, and team building activities are essential to maintain a skilled, motivated project management team. The role also emphasizes employee development through training plans, competency assessments, and mentoring programs.

Required Skills and Competencies

The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities, excellent people management skills, and experience motivating and developing high-performing teams. Effective communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills are crucial to managing complex projects and diverse stakeholders.

They should have a proactive and detail-oriented approach with a demonstrated ability to manage change, solve problems innovatively, and uphold integrity and trustworthiness across all interactions.

Technical expertise is expected, with a proven track record in managing multidisciplinary projects and portfolios, strong HSE management commitment, and outstanding reporting and performance analysis capabilities.

Qualifications and Experience

Applicants should hold a recognized engineering degree or equivalent qualification. Postgraduate or management-related certifications are preferred. A minimum of 20 years in the industry with extensive practical and commercial experience leading complex projects is required.
