Job Overview
We are looking for a skilled Accounting Reports Analyst to join the External Reporting Division within the Planning, Budgeting & Performance Management Center. This role involves preparing important financial disclosures and reports ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements linked to the company’s equity and debt listings on various stock exchanges.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for producing sections of the company’s Annual and Interim Reports, including all related disclosures. This involves interpreting regulatory disclosure standards, analyzing data from multiple internal departments, and crafting clear, concise narratives suitable for public reporting. Key tasks include:
- Understanding and applying regulatory disclosure requirements
- Reviewing and analyzing financial and operational information to identify critical insights
- Evaluating and challenging submitted data for accuracy and completeness
- Developing clear written content for various report sections such as market overview, financial performance, and corporate governance
- Building strong working relationships across company departments and with senior leadership
- Managing multiple priorities under tight deadlines and supporting other ad hoc reporting projects
Required Skills and Qualifications
The ideal candidate will hold a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or Business. Professional certifications such as CMA, CPA, CFA, ACA, or ACCA are highly preferred. Candidates should possess:
- A minimum of five years of experience in public company reporting, preferably within the energy sector
- Proven expertise in preparing external financial reports and disclosures
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in business Arabic is advantageous but not mandatory
- Ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams and engage confidently with senior management
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a proactive approach to work under pressure
