Ahmed Alyami Group is looking to hire a skilled General Accountant to join its team in Abqaiq, Saudi Arabia. This opportunity is ideal for candidates with 3 to 5 years of accounting experience, particularly within the construction, contracting, or trading industries. The position demands familiarity with Saudi financial regulations and an immediate joining timeline.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing various accounting functions including Accounts Payable and Receivable, maintaining the General Ledger, and performing bank reconciliations. Other tasks include invoicing, handling petty cash, supporting payroll processes, and assisting with the month-end closing procedures. Ensuring compliance with VAT and Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) regulations is a crucial part of the role. The accountant will also provide support during audits and prepare financial reports.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is essential.
• Practical experience in Saudi Arabia or the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region is required.
• Strong understanding of VAT laws and ZATCA requirements.
• Proficiency with ERP and accounting software systems.
• Thorough knowledge of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, bank reconciliations, invoicing, and financial reporting.
• SOCPA registration is preferred but not mandatory.
