Job Overview

We are looking for a meticulous and analytically minded Accountant with a strong background in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) industry. This role involves managing daily financial operations, controlling inventory records, analyzing product profitability, and ensuring timely and accurate financial reports in a fast-paced environment. The position is open to candidates from Pakistan, India, and the Philippines only.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for various accounting functions including cost accounting, margin analysis, inventory management, and compliance. You will monitor and evaluate the Cost of Goods Sold (COGS), manufacturing variances, and distribution costs, while performing profitability analysis across product lines, brands, and sales channels.

Inventory control duties include reconciling physical stock with the ERP system, handling provisions for slow-moving or obsolete inventory, and managing expiry-related stock issues. You will prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, managing accruals, prepayments, and journal entries along with overseeing accounts receivable and payable processes.

Additionally, you will ensure timely vendor payments, manage trade discounts and promotional rebates, and reconcile accounts of distributors and key retail partners. Compliance tasks cover managing VAT/Sales Tax filings, corporate tax adherence, and supporting internal and external audits. This role reports directly to the Finance Manager.

Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline. A minimum of three years of accounting experience is required, with at least one to two years in an FMCG or manufacturing setting.

Proficiency with MS Excel is essential, as is hands-on experience with ERP software such as Odoo. A strong grasp of standard costing techniques, high-volume data analysis, and commercial insight are necessary to succeed in this role.
