Job Overview

We are currently looking for a skilled Supply Chain Specialist to join our team in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. This position plays a vital role in managing and optimizing supply chain operations, from coordinating with suppliers to ensuring timely delivery of raw materials and finished goods. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in logistics and inventory management, along with strong communication and organizational abilities.

Key Responsibilities

The Supply Chain Specialist will be responsible for overseeing the entire supply chain process, including:

  • Developing and maintaining effective monthly and weekly dispatch schedules
  • Handling the import of raw materials by verifying purchase orders and quality control approvals
  • Negotiating with vendors to secure competitive pricing and favorable terms
  • Coordinating the delivery of outbound materials to various destinations
  • Tracking all shipments to ensure timely arrival and resolving any discrepancies
  • Submitting transportation invoices to the finance department for prompt payment
  • Supervising the supply chain team and monitoring their daily activities
  • Communicating with customers regarding delivery schedules and managing the collection of rejected materials
  • Scheduling logistics drivers and arranging gate passes required for site access
  • Preparing weekly and monthly delivery reports to maintain accurate records
  • Maintaining updated records of pending sales orders within the ERP system
  • Coordinating regularly with finance to obtain delivery approvals
  • Producing monthly dispatch plans with prioritization to assist the Quality Control department in document preparation
  • Following up with the Quality Control team to ensure QC certificates accompany all deliveries
  • Addressing customer inquiries and managing any outstanding payments after delivery

Required Skills and Qualifications

The suitable candidate should meet the following requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or MBA in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Management, or a related field
  • Proven experience in logistics, warehouse management, or a similar supply chain role
  • Strong understanding of supply chain processes and operational cycles
  • Proficiency with inventory management software and ERP systems
  • Excellent organizational and supervisory capabilities
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team
