Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Officer with expertise in MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) procurement to support our construction projects in Riyadh. The successful candidate will play a key role in sourcing materials and equipment, ensuring seamless supply chain operations tailored to MEP works within the construction industry.

Key Responsibilities

The Procurement Officer will be responsible for sourcing and procuring essential MEP materials and equipment, obtaining competitive quotations from suppliers, and negotiating favorable pricing. You will manage purchase orders and all procurement-related documentation while coordinating closely with project managers, engineers, and site teams to ensure timely delivery of materials to construction sites. Maintaining strong supplier relationships and evaluating their performance will also be vital to the role.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Candidates should hold a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline. A solid background of 3 to 5 years in procurement within the construction sector—especially in MEP projects—is essential. Knowledge of MEP materials and equipment, as well as supplier networks, is necessary to excel.

Proficiency in supplier sourcing, price negotiation, and contract management is expected. Familiarity with procurement processes, purchase orders, and material submittal procedures is important for success. Candidates should also have strong communication and organizational abilities, high attention to detail, and the capacity to handle multiple procurement tasks effectively under pressure. Experience with Microsoft Office and ERP or procurement management systems is required.
