Job Overview
BMCO-FM is excited to offer a career opportunity for a skilled Mechanical Procurement Engineer specializing in the Facilities Management (FM) sector in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This position is open exclusively to Arabic nationals currently residing in Saudi Arabia with substantial experience in mechanical procurement within the FM industry.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years in FM mechanical procurement, preferably within prominent FM projects or organizations, and possess strong hands-on expertise in sourcing, vendor management, and contract negotiation specific to mechanical systems.
Key Responsibilities
This role involves managing the procurement process for mechanical materials and systems relevant to FM operations. Key responsibilities include:
- Procuring mechanical equipment such as HVAC units, chillers, pumps, compressors, plumbing, firefighting systems, and MEP spare parts.
- Identifying and evaluating suppliers with specialty in FM mechanical maintenance.
- Conducting thorough market research to select cost-effective and technically sound vendors.
- Managing vendor registration processes and ensuring compliance with company standards.
- Collaborating with engineering and maintenance teams to review BOQs, technical submittals, and specifications.
- Negotiating commercial terms, pricing, and service contracts for maintenance and spare parts supply.
- Issuing and managing RFQs and RFPs for mechanical FM services and materials.
- Monitoring supplier performance, delivery timelines, and contract adherence.
- Aligning procurement activities with FM operational needs and preventive maintenance schedules.
- Identifying cost-saving opportunities and initiatives to enhance procurement efficiency.
- Preparing detailed procurement reports, cost analyses, and forecasts for management review.
- Ensuring all procurement activities comply with company policies, FM standards, and local regulations.
Required Skills and Experience
- Arabic nationality and currently based in Saudi Arabia (local hiring only).
- Minimum eight years of GCC experience with at least five years specifically in FM mechanical procurement within KSA.
- Proven experience working on reputable FM projects or organizations.
- Strong knowledge of SAP procurement modules is mandatory.
- Fluent in English with native-level proficiency in Arabic.
- Ability to mobilize within 30 days.
- Age below 40 years.
Working Conditions and Salary
The position requires working six days a week with a nine-hour shift each day (including a one-hour break). The offered monthly salary ranges from SAR 12,000 to SAR 15,000, depending on experience and interview results.
