We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Logistics Dispatcher to join our team in Riyadh. The ideal candidate will be responsible for efficiently coordinating and dispatching trucks, trailers, buses, and drivers to meet daily transportation needs. This role demands strong communication skills, an ability to manage multiple tasks, and a proactive approach to resolving transportation challenges.

Key Responsibilities

The Logistics Dispatcher will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth and timely deliveries by handling the following tasks:

• Schedule daily trips by assigning routes, loading times, and delivery instructions to drivers.
• Track vehicle locations and driver status using GPS systems to manage fleet movements effectively.
• Coordinate with customers, loading and unloading points, and internal teams to maintain seamless operations.
• Monitor and provide updates on loading progress, delivery status, and arrivals.
• Address operational issues such as delays, vehicle breakdowns, route adjustments, and traffic interruptions promptly to minimize impact.
• Maintain accurate dispatch records, trip logs, delivery confirmations, and vehicle usage reports.
• Ensure drivers adhere to routes, company policies, safety standards, and customer requirements.
• Collaborate with the maintenance department to report vehicle defects and schedule necessary repairs.
• Manage driver working hours, rest breaks, and trip completion documentation to comply with regulations.
• Verify essential transport documents including delivery notes, waybills, and permits.
• Communicate proactively with customers about delivery progress and any operational challenges.
• Arrange for replacement drivers or vehicles as needed to avoid disruptions.
• Prepare detailed daily and weekly reports summarizing trip completions, delays, idle times, and fleet availability.
• Record all dispatching activities accurately within the company’s transportation management systems or ERP software.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Proven experience in logistics dispatching or transportation coordination.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise with drivers, customers, and internal teams.
• Familiarity with GPS tracking systems and transportation management software.
• Problem-solving mindset to manage unexpected operational issues effectively.
• Attention to detail for maintaining records and verifying documents.
• Capacity to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
