Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Workshop Carpenter to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role involves crafting, assembling, finishing, and repairing wooden products such as custom furniture, exhibition stands, display units, and cabinetry. The ideal candidate will have a strong ability to read technical drawings, operate woodworking machinery, and deliver superior craftsmanship on time.

Key Responsibilities

The Workshop Carpenter will be responsible for interpreting technical and shop drawings, measuring and cutting wood components, assembling furniture and display units, and ensuring all products meet quality and customer specifications. Duties include operating various woodworking machines such as table saws, routers, planers, sanders, and CNC equipment where applicable. The carpenter will also prepare surfaces for finishing, carry out repairs or modifications to wooden items, and work efficiently to minimize material waste. Maintaining a clean and safe workshop environment, following production schedules, and collaborating with supervisors and installation teams are essential parts of this role.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Proven experience as a carpenter or joiner in a woodworking or furniture manufacturing setting.
• Familiarity with custom furniture making, interior joinery, or exhibition stand fabrication is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret detailed technical drawings.
• Strong knowledge of woodworking materials, laminates, hardware, and finishing techniques.
• Competency in operating power tools and woodworking machinery safely.
• Excellent measuring, cutting, joining, and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail with a focus on delivering high-quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a team.
• Physical ability to handle materials and stand for prolonged periods.

Health and Safety Responsibilities

The candidate must strictly adhere to health and safety guidelines by always wearing the required personal protective equipment, operating machinery only after receiving proper training, reporting any unsafe conditions or faulty equipment immediately, following workshop safety protocols, and maintaining clean, hazard-free work areas.

Preferred Experience

We prefer candidates with 3 to 5 years of experience in woodworking, furniture production, exhibition stand fabrication, or interior fit-outs. Experience in working with CNC woodworking machines and skills in laminate application, veneering, and furniture hardware installation add value to your application.
