Job Overview
We are currently looking for a skilled Fuel Station Maintenance Technician to manage comprehensive maintenance and repair tasks across various fuel station equipment and infrastructure. The role involves working with fuel dispensers, storage tanks, electronic control systems, and safety devices to ensure smooth and safe operation.
Key Responsibilities
The technician will be responsible for performing preventive and corrective maintenance on LPG, petrol, and diesel dispensers. Regular inspection, calibration, and repair of underground and above-ground tanks are essential duties. Maintenance of electrical control panels, automatic tank gauging (ATG) systems, and communication equipment also forms a key part of the job.
Additional tasks include installing and testing piping, valves, filters, and hoses in accordance with safety standards, conducting pressure tests, and detecting leaks in tanks and pipelines. The technician must ensure dispensing equipment is accurately calibrated and maintain detailed maintenance logs. Responding promptly to breakdowns and urgent calls, working cooperatively with operations and HSE teams, and documenting all activities and spare parts usage are also required. Support in upgrading and commissioning new station equipment completes the core duties.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Technical diploma or certification in Electrical, Mechanical, or Fuel Systems is essential.
- 3 to 5 years of proven experience in fuel station maintenance or petroleum facility upkeep.
- Knowledge of systems such as FSC3000, ATG, EMV, and fuel POS controllers is highly desirable.
- Ability to interpret technical schematics, wiring diagrams, and standard operating procedures effectively.
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Strong troubleshooting capabilities across electrical, mechanical, and fluid systems.
- Proficient documentation and reporting skills.
- Fluency in English, both spoken and written; proficiency in Arabic is advantageous.
Work Environment
This role requires working on-site at fuel stations, often in outdoor conditions subject to weather variations. Compliance with safety standards and close coordination with health, safety, and environmental teams are mandatory to maintain a secure working environment.
