Job Overview

MALITCO is seeking a skilled Diesel Truck Mechanic to join their maintenance team based in Badr, Madinah. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy diesel trucks and related equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety within the fleet.

Key Responsibilities

This role involves a variety of mechanical tasks including diagnosing and repairing diesel engines, transmissions, clutches, cooling systems, and fuel systems. You will also inspect and service air brakes, steering, suspension, and drivetrain components. Additional duties include performing routine preventive maintenance such as oil changes, lubrication, and filter replacements. Troubleshooting electrical faults with diagnostic tools and attending to vehicle breakdowns promptly are critical to success. You will be expected to inspect vehicles post-repair and document any outstanding issues before release. Accurate record-keeping of repairs, parts usage, and defects is essential, alongside maintaining a clean and organized work environment. Close coordination with the Workshop In-Charge to prioritize repairs and manage spare parts inventory is also required. Following all safety protocols and using protective equipment is mandatory.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Applicants must have proven hands-on experience with heavy diesel truck maintenance. A solid understanding of mechanical systems, air brakes, and basic electrical diagnostics is crucial. Familiarity with diagnostic equipment and workshop tools is expected. The ideal candidate can work independently while also supporting a team environment. Having a relevant trade certificate or technical qualification will be considered an advantage. Flexibility and willingness to respond to urgent breakdowns is necessary.
