Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) Representative for a part-time, fully remote position based in Saudi Arabia. This role plays a vital part in enhancing speech recognition technologies by annotating and analyzing data to improve ASR model accuracy. The position offers competitive hourly compensation and is exclusively open to Saudi nationals.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for accurately annotating a variety of data types including text, voice, images, and video using specialized company tools. You will ensure high data quality through thorough self and peer reviews, identifying inconsistencies or errors early in the process. Collaboration with algorithm engineers and fellow annotators will be essential to discuss challenges, share insights, and optimize annotation procedures. Keeping organized records of annotation guidelines, data samples, and quality reports will also be part of your duties.

Required Skills and Competencies

• Strong command of Saudi native Arabic with excellent listening, speaking, reading, and writing abilities to effectively capture language nuances.
• Proficiency in either English or Chinese is preferred, with added weight given to candidates familiar with Chinese.
• Experience using common data annotation platforms and Microsoft Office suite.
• Excellent data sensitivity with the ability to quickly interpret and classify diverse data accurately.
• Strong commitment to team collaboration and meeting deadlines with a responsible work ethic.

Qualifications and Experience

A bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science, mathematics, statistics, or a related field is preferred. Candidates with prior experience in data annotation, especially within Natural Language Understanding (NLU) and ASR projects, will have an advantage. A strong willingness to learn new tools and guideline updates quickly is essential.
