Job Overview

Hitachi Rail is seeking a proactive and experienced Senior System Maintenance Manager to lead maintenance operations for critical rail projects in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate all maintenance activities for major projects exceeding 10 million euros.
• Develop, update, and implement maintenance manuals, procedures, and operating guidelines to ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Lead preventive, corrective, and overhaul maintenance programs across the entire rail system to ensure reliability and safety.
• Manage daily maintenance operations while optimizing efficiency within the maintenance department.
• Facilitate collaboration between maintenance and operations teams to guarantee availability and readiness of rolling stock and equipment.
• Prepare contingency plans to address potential emergency situations effectively.
• Monitor maintenance progress against plans, addressing any deviations promptly.
• Forecast long-term maintenance activities, resource needs, and budget requirements.
• Evaluate staff performance and foster professional development through targeted training programs.
• Generate detailed reports to highlight trends, potential issues, and performance insights for senior management.
• Maintain strong partnerships with internal and external service providers to enhance system performance.
• Track and act upon key performance indicators to ensure maintenance objectives are met timely.

Required Skills and Experience

• A minimum of 15 years in engineering, with at least 10 years dedicated to maintenance management within the railway sector.
• Proven expertise in creating and executing maintenance strategies, including budgeting and resource allocation.
• Strong leadership capabilities with experience managing cross-functional teams.
• Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and team-building skills.
• Capability to handle labor relations fairly and efficiently.
• Demonstrated ability to maximize team productivity and operational efficiency.
