Morgan Stanley, a global leader in financial services, is seeking a dedicated Desktop Support Specialist to join the Workplace Support Services team in Riyadh. This full-time role involves delivering technical operational support across local business units and infrastructure, contributing to a seamless IT production environment in the region.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will provide day-to-day operational support while developing a deep understanding of both local and global production environments. Core duties include diagnosing and addressing a wide range of technical issues, coordinating with internal support groups worldwide, and prioritizing projects to meet business needs.

Additional responsibilities include managing infrastructure changes, software releases, and business continuity plans. The role also involves training new users, participating in after-hours or weekend work as needed, traveling to regional offices occasionally, and assisting in local audits. Maintaining strong relationships with existing vendors is another important aspect of this position.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with several years of experience in financial services IT support.
• Proven expertise in production support and change management.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to effectively address technical challenges.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts clearly to various audiences.
• Capability to perform calmly under pressure, especially during system outages affecting critical users.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team setting.
• In-depth knowledge of Windows operating systems, applications, and computer hardware.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with telecommunications technologies.
• Exposure to front office environments and vendor management.
• Project management experience is advantageous.
• Proficiency in Arabic along with strong English communication skills.
