The ideal candidate will manage the Emerging Sectors Department, overseeing data gathering, feasibility studies, and implementation of growth initiatives that align with broader economic goals.

Key Responsibilities

The Emerging Sectors Director is responsible for translating general strategies into actionable operational plans and ensuring their effective execution. This includes supervising and developing the department team, managing departmental budgets, and collaborating with Business Intelligence to gather and analyze market data. The role involves prioritizing local content development opportunities, preparing business cases, and conducting complex feasibility studies such as NPV and IRR analyses. Furthermore, the director oversees supplier performance evaluation to maintain strong partnerships and enhances stakeholder collaboration.

Leading the development and application of tools, systems, and processes to support initiatives is essential. Coordination with private sector players and economic bodies ensures clear roles and maximizes impact. The role also requires maintaining strong communication lines with relevant stakeholders and continuously improving policies and procedures to elevate departmental effectiveness.
