Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Welding Quality Control (QC) Inspector with a minimum of 10 years’ experience, specifically within Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) and conventional power projects. The position is based in Rumah, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, with a long-term contract of one year. This role requires thorough knowledge of welding inspection standards and quality assurance processes for power plant construction and maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
The Welding QC Inspector will be entrusted with ensuring all welding activities comply with project specifications, codes, and safety regulations. Responsibilities include performing detailed inspections, reviewing welding procedures, verifying welder qualifications, conducting non-destructive examinations, and preparing inspection reports. The inspector will collaborate closely with project engineers and quality teams to maintain high-quality standards throughout project phases.
Required Skills and Certifications
- Proven expertise in welding inspection within CCGT and conventional power project environments.
- Strong understanding of welding codes and standards, including ASME.
- Valid C-SWIP certification for welding inspection.
- Experience in NDE (Non-Destructive Examination) methods.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, welding procedures, and quality documentation.
Qualifications and Documentation
Candidates must possess a transferable Iqama and hold a relevant degree in engineering or a related field. Certifications such as C-SWIP, NDE, and ASME are mandatory. Proper documentation will be reviewed during the selection process.
Work Location and Duration
