Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer with expertise in alkaline electrolyser systems, specifically using technology from Teledyne Technologies Incorporated. This field-based role involves installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance of electrolyser units integrated into hydrogen production projects across Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring continuous, reliable operation of hydrogen generation systems on client sites.
Key Responsibilities
The Maintenance Engineer will lead installation and commissioning efforts for Teledyne alkaline electrolysers and their balance of plant components. You will conduct routine and corrective maintenance to minimize downtime and maximize system performance. Troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, and control system faults will be a core focus, along with implementing root cause corrective actions. The role also requires providing on-site technical support, operator training, and maintaining accurate service and maintenance documentation.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical Engineering, or related discipline.
- Between 3 to 10 years of experience in maintenance, commissioning, or field service roles involving industrial electro-mechanical systems.
- Proven technical knowledge in PLC systems, rectifiers, and high-pressure hydrogen or gas systems is highly preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, electrical schematics, and technical documentation.
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities paired with a hands-on engineering approach.
- Good communication skills for effective client interaction and operator training.
Work Environment and Requirements
This is a physically active role that involves travel between project sites in Saudi Arabia. The engineer will work in industrial, outdoor settings and may encounter elevated or confined spaces. Handling hazardous materials, including high-pressure hydrogen and high-voltage electrical equipment, requires strict adherence to safety procedures and compliance with HSE regulations.
