Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Sustainability Engineer with a strong background in green building projects and environmental management. This role requires a minimum of five years in sustainability engineering, combined with key professional credentials and the ability to support high-level certification targets. The position is available immediately and requires onsite presence for part of the workweek.

Key Responsibilities

The Sustainability Engineer will play a critical role in supporting a project aimed at achieving Envision Platinum certification. Responsibilities include preparing, reviewing, and verifying all Envision-related documentation such as material submittals and project plans. The role also involves verifying Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) from suppliers to secure the targeted Envision credits. Daily collaboration with the Project Sustainability Manager and regular coordination with the Delivery Partner and Client are essential, with a minimum of three days per week spent onsite.

Required Skills and Certifications

  • Strong knowledge of sustainability standards and environmental reporting.
  • Excellent communication and coordination abilities to effectively manage project requirements.
  • LEED AP or LEED Green Associate certification (mandatory).
  • MUSTIDAMA PQP certification (mandatory).
  • Envision Sustainability Professional (SP) credential at mid-level experience.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
  • At least five years of relevant experience in sustainability engineering, environmental management, or green building projects.
  • Experience with ISO 14001 Environmental Management System certification is preferred.

Work Conditions

This is a supplier-based position contracted through Ajeer, with a competitive salary package. Please note that Iqama transfer is not available for this role. The candidate will be expected to be physically present on the project site for a minimum of three days per week, with additional days allocated for project coordination and planning activities.
