Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join a leading infrastructure project based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will bring over 10 years of expertise in managing mechanical engineering disciplines, including HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and utilities. This role demands a hands-on professional responsible for design review, site supervision, and ensuring compliance with international standards.
Key Responsibilities
As the Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will lead mechanical engineering activities throughout the project lifecycle. Your duties will include:
- Overseeing all mechanical systems such as HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and utilities implementation.
- Reviewing and approving design drawings, bills of quantities (BOQs), technical specifications, and material submittals.
- Ensuring all mechanical work adheres to project requirements, safety standards, and international codes like ASHRAE, NFPA, and IPC.
- Coordinating closely with civil, electrical, and project management teams to align project objectives.
- Supervising installation, testing, and commissioning procedures on site.
- Tracking project progress and ensuring timely completion within budget.
- Diagnosing and resolving technical problems during execution.
- Participating in project planning, scheduling, and regular reporting.
- Guaranteeing strict compliance with quality control and health, safety, and environmental (HSE) guidelines.
Required Skills and Qualifications
The successful candidate should possess:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- At least 10 years of relevant experience, preferably in large-scale infrastructure or construction projects.
- In-depth knowledge of HVAC systems, piping layouts, firefighting systems, and related utilities.
- Familiarity with international mechanical engineering codes and standards such as ASHRAE, NFPA, and IPC.
- Proven track record in site execution and multidisciplinary project coordination.
- Experience working within the GCC region is highly desirable.
- Strong leadership abilities combined with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Must hold a valid Iqama with all educational and professional documentation readily available.
