Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Quality Control Engineer with hands-on experience in concrete batching plants. The role involves developing and maintaining rigorous quality management systems to ensure the production of high-quality concrete and concrete blocks in compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will oversee quality control activities including regular testing of raw materials, concrete mixes, and finished products to guarantee adherence to specifications. You will monitor production procedures to promptly address any quality concerns, maintain accurate documentation of quality metrics and inspection results, and lead non-conformance management by investigating defects and implementing corrective action plans.

Training staff on quality procedures and best practices forms a core part of your responsibilities, alongside promoting a culture focused on quality. You will also interact with clients to address quality inquiries and provide technical support where necessary.

Continuous improvement initiatives are expected, including conducting audits and collaborating with the R&D team to enhance products and processes. Staying informed about industry innovations related to concrete manufacturing will also be essential.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Materials Science, or a related discipline.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in quality assurance or control in the concrete or construction industry.
• Strong familiarity with concrete mix designs and testing methods according to standards such as ASTM and AASHTO.
• Certified in Quality Management systems like ISO 9001 is preferred; additional certifications like ACI or PCI are advantageous.
• Proficiency with quality control methodologies including Six Sigma and Statistical Process Control.
• Excellent communication skills paired with analytical thinking and a detail-oriented approach to quality assurance.
• Competent in using Microsoft Office and familiar with quality management software and databases.
