Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled QA/QC Inspector with expertise in metallic piping and welding quality control. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of inspection procedures and relevant industry codes to ensure compliance and quality standards for mechanical components such as pipes, fittings, valves, structural steel, and fasteners.

Key Responsibilities

The inspector will be responsible for applying comprehensive knowledge of various codes and standards, including ASME Sections I, V, VIII, and IX, ASME B31.3, B31.4, B31.8, NACE, API 620/650, and AWS D1.1 during inspections. Additionally, the role involves operating Positive Material Identification (PMI) testing equipment to verify material specifications and quality throughout all project phases.

Required Skills

• Strong understanding of mechanical inspection techniques for metallic piping and welding
• Familiarity with relevant international codes and standards for pressure vessels, piping, and welding
• Ability to conduct thorough material identification using PMI test equipment
• Attention to detail with excellent documentation and reporting capabilities
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with project teams and stakeholders

Qualifications and Requirements

• Certification and proven experience as a QA/QC or Quality Control Inspector in relevant fields
• Successful completion of Competency Based Training (CBT) for inspection roles
• Hands-on experience with inspection tools and testing devices used for pipes and mechanical components
• Ability to interpret and comply with purchase order requirements and technical specifications
