Job Overview

We are urgently seeking a skilled Project Engineer to lead commercial kitchen projects in Bahrain. This role demands a hands-on professional to oversee the complete project lifecycle, from initial design and planning to installation and commissioning of food service equipment.

Key Responsibilities

The Project Engineer will be responsible for managing and executing commercial kitchen equipment projects efficiently. Key duties include:

• Leading end-to-end project execution, including site supervision and installation management.
• Preparing detailed technical drawings, layouts, and comprehensive Bills of Quantities (BOQs) for equipment.
• Collaborating closely with consultants, architects, and clients to finalize designs and technical specifications.
• Coordinating with suppliers and contractors to ensure punctual delivery and proper installation of kitchen equipment.
• Monitoring project progress against budgets, timelines, and resource allocation.
• Ensuring adherence to local regulations concerning health, fire safety, and other compliance requirements.
• Conducting thorough site inspections, managing punch lists, and overseeing project handover documentation.
• Providing technical expertise during tendering and procurement phases.
• Mentoring junior engineers and supporting team members to enhance project outcomes.

Qualifications and Skills

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• At least 8 years of direct experience working on commercial kitchen equipment projects.
• Strong proficiency with AutoCAD for creating design drawings and layouts.
• Proven experience managing complete project cycles including design, BOQ preparation, installation, commissioning, and handover.
• Excellent project management skills with the ability to supervise sites effectively.
• Outstanding communication skills and proven ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
• Prior experience working in the GCC region is mandatory.
• Familiarity with renowned international kitchen equipment brands such as Hobart, Rational, and Electrolux.
• PMP certification or an equivalent project management credential is a plus.
• Background in projects involving hospitality venues, food and beverage chains, hospitals, or central kitchens is highly desirable.
