Job Overview

We are urgently seeking an experienced Project Controls Chief Engineer to join a major Railway and Infrastructure project based in Saudi Arabia. This role requires a dynamic individual with strong leadership skills and comprehensive expertise in project planning, scheduling, and cost control within large-scale construction and transportation ventures.

Key Responsibilities

As the Project Controls Chief, you will lead the project controls team ensuring all activities align with the overall project timeline, budget, and contractual obligations. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining detailed schedules using Primavera P6, monitoring project progress, and preparing detailed reports and dashboards for senior management. Your role will include identifying risks, analyzing project trends, and recommending mitigation strategies to keep the project on track.

Additionally, you will oversee cost tracking, productivity assessment, and support claims management including schedule impact analyses and Extension of Time submissions. Close collaboration with various departments such as Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Commercial will be essential to meet project goals and drive performance improvements. Providing technical guidance and fostering continuous advancement within the project controls team will also be key aspects of your leadership.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
• 7-10 years of professional experience in project controls, preferably within large infrastructure, railway, metro, or high-speed rail projects.
• Expertise in project planning, scheduling, cost control, progress monitoring, forecasting, risk management, and performance reporting.
• Advanced skills in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong understanding of project control methodologies, including earned value management and project performance analysis.
• Professional certifications such as PMP, PMI-SP, PSP, or equivalent are considered a plus.
