Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Planning Engineer to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role involves leading project planning activities for EPC contracts, ensuring efficient resource allocation, and monitoring project progress to meet deadlines. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in civil engineering projects, including residential, infrastructure, and road construction sectors.

Key Responsibilities

The Planning Engineer will be responsible for developing baseline schedules for new projects using Primavera P6, including detailed manpower and equipment planning. They will supervise the entire project lifecycle, from design through mobilization, execution, and final handover or demobilization.

Regular progress monitoring and reporting will be essential, with clear and detailed daily, weekly, and monthly reports supported by executive dashboards. The engineer will analyze project deviations against approved plans and implement corrective or recovery schedules when necessary.

Additionally, the role includes managing project budgets, cost control, and minimizing financial losses by optimizing manpower and equipment usage. Handling billing processes, preparing interim and final invoices, and managing Extension of Time claims with thorough delay analysis are key parts of the job.

Close coordination across project management, construction, procurement, and quality control teams will be necessary to ensure consistent project execution aligned with the approved schedule and scope.

Required Skills and Experience

Candidates should bring proven experience in civil engineering projects such as residential buildings, pipeline construction, earthworks, road construction, and EPC industrial or commercial projects. Proficiency in Primavera P6 is essential, along with strong project planning, monitoring, and reporting capabilities.
