Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Planning Engineer to take the lead in scheduling and monitoring EPC projects in Riyadh. This role requires expertise in developing baseline schedules using Primavera P6, managing resource allocation, and overseeing project progress throughout all phases—from design and mobilization to execution and final handover.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing detailed project plans, including manpower and equipment histograms, to optimize resource use. You will monitor the project’s progress against approved baselines, provide regular progress reports with executive-level dashboards, and devise recovery plans where necessary to keep projects on track.

Additionally, the role involves financial oversight where you will manage budgets, control costs by minimizing idle manpower and equipment downtime, and handle the billing process through interim and final invoice submissions. Managing contract-related activities such as Extension of Time (EOT) claims, change orders, and variation orders will be essential to support project delivery.

Collaboration is key as you will coordinate with project management, construction, procurement, and quality teams to ensure all efforts align with project goals and schedules.

Required Skills and Experience

Candidates must have a proven track record in planning roles within sectors such as residential, pipeline construction, infrastructure projects, civil works, earthworks, road construction, and EPC building projects for industrial or commercial purposes. Proficiency with Primavera P6 and strong analytical skills for schedule and cost control are essential.
