Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Field Support Engineer to join our engineering team in Riyadh. This role focuses on maintaining and supporting tolling and automation infrastructure across various field sites. The successful candidate will handle everything from installation and commissioning to ongoing maintenance, troubleshooting, and device calibration, ensuring systems operate smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

The Field Support Engineer will play a vital role in sustaining the performance of critical infrastructure. Primary duties include:

• Installing, commissioning, and maintaining tolling and automation equipment to maximize system uptime.
• Diagnosing and resolving faults in sensors, controllers, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), communication devices, and field cabling.
• Calibrating, testing, and replacing field devices like barriers, loop detectors, and Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) cameras.
• Responding swiftly to system incidents, occasionally outside regular business hours, while meeting established Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
• Conducting scheduled preventive maintenance and maintaining detailed service documentation.
• Collaborating effectively with remote support teams and escalating complex technical issues as necessary.

Required Skills and Experience

This role requires a proactive engineer with hands-on experience in automation and tolling systems. Candidates should bring:

• A minimum of three years working in installation, troubleshooting, and upkeep of tolling or automation systems.
• Strong practical knowledge of sensors, controllers, PLCs, communication devices, and field cabling infrastructure.
• Experience in calibrating and testing specialized devices including barriers, loop detectors, and ANPR cameras.
• Basic networking skills such as understanding IP addressing, switches, and routers.
• Flexibility and readiness to work rotating 24/7 shifts and be available for on-call incident response duties.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities with a capacity to work independently in demanding field environments.
