Job Overview

We are looking for a skilled Network and Telecom Engineer to join our team in Riyadh. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in designing, planning, and managing network infrastructures and low-voltage systems for construction projects. This position involves overseeing on-site technical teams and ensuring all work meets project specifications and engineering standards.

Key Responsibilities

The main duties include developing detailed shop drawings for data networks and low-voltage systems such as LAN, WAN, Fiber optics, CCTV, and Access Control. You will prepare Bill of Quantities (BOQ), review material technical specifications, and submit these for consultant approval. Advanced configuration of core network devices like switches, routers, and firewalls to maintain network security will also be required.

Additionally, you will supervise and coordinate the on-site technician team, monitor project progress, and ensure adherence to schedules. You will review and approve test reports, including Fluke Tester and OTDR results, and prepare As-Built drawings for final project handover. Providing Tier 3 troubleshooting and resolving complex network engineering issues is a key part of this role. You will also participate in technical meetings with consultants and clients and collaborate with other engineering disciplines such as Electrical, Mechanical, and Civil teams.

Requirements

Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Information Technology, or a closely related field. Professional certifications like CCNA or CCNP are highly desirable.

Proven expertise in network architecture, including protocols, routing, switching, firewalls, VLANs, and VPNs, is essential. Proficiency in AutoCAD for technical drawing review and modification is required, alongside the ability to interpret network testing equipment data such as Fluke Tester or OTDR. Strong skills in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, will support quantity tracking and progress reporting.

A successful applicant should demonstrate leadership and team management abilities to effectively guide site technicians and subcontractors. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are necessary to handle complex network challenges efficiently. Excellent communication skills in English are important for coordinating with consultants and stakeholders. Managing multiple tasks while meeting tight deadlines requires exceptional time management and organization.
