Job Overview

We are looking for a skilled MEP Technician to join our facility management team at a labor camp in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves maintaining and repairing electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems within a residential camp housing approximately 50 workers. The position offers a monthly salary of 1500 SAR along with company-provided benefits including accommodation, food, transportation, and medical insurance as per Saudi labor law.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Conducting electrical maintenance tasks such as repairing breakers, wiring, sockets, and small power systems.
• Installing and replacing lighting fixtures, ensuring all connections are correctly set up.
• Handling plumbing repairs including fixing leaks, washroom maintenance, valve replacement, and drainage upkeep.
• Performing cleaning and servicing of air conditioning units including filter cleaning and coil washing to maintain optimal cooling.
• Operating generators during power outages and ensuring their proper functionality.
• Maintaining mechanical equipment like pumps, motors, and exhaust fans within the camp.
• Executing preventive maintenance schedules on all camp utilities and equipment to avoid downtime.
• Carrying out daily inspections of water tanks, pumps, electrical rooms, and communal areas to identify issues early.
• Troubleshooting faults and implementing corrective actions efficiently.
• Adhering strictly to safety protocols including use of PPE, lockout/tagout procedures, and site safety standards.
• Keeping detailed daily logs and reporting completed tasks to supervisors.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Candidates should possess a diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, or MEP disciplines along with 2 to 4 years of experience in facility or camp maintenance. The ideal applicant must have the ability to repair washrooms, install lighting, service AC units, and operate generators. A solid understanding of HVAC systems, pumps, electrical panels, and plumbing is essential. Familiarity with reading basic drawings and wiring diagrams, as well as proficiency with hand tools, multimeters, and testing devices, is required.

Work Environment

This position is based within a labor camp environment accommodating 50 to 100 workers. The role requires physical fitness to handle tasks such as lifting, climbing, and performing outdoor maintenance activities. The technician should be prepared to respond promptly to emergency maintenance situations as they arise.

Additional Information

Applicants must hold a transferrable Iqama to be eligible for this role. We do not accept applications from manpower suppliers.
