Job Overview
Transcend Arabia Limited Company is seeking a skilled MEP and Fit-Out Engineer to join their team in Riyadh. This role involves overseeing the planning, coordination, and supervision of all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) as well as interior fit-out works on various construction projects. The engineer will ensure that systems are installed, tested, and commissioned following project specifications, timelines, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
The MEP / Fit-Out Engineer will take charge of the following duties:
- Review and interpret MEP drawings, specifications, and bill of quantities (BOQs).
- Coordinate with design consultants, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure smooth integration of MEP services with architectural and structural elements.
- Supervise interior fit-out activities including HVAC, lighting, power distribution, plumbing, and fire protection systems while ensuring compliance with project design and local regulations.
- Conduct regular site inspections to verify installation quality and adherence to approved shop drawings and method statements.
- Monitor overall site progress, resolve technical challenges, and coordinate site teams to prevent conflicts and delays.
- Prepare work schedules, assist in resource planning, and provide progress reports highlighting project status, risks, and potential delays.
- Ensure strict compliance with quality assurance and control procedures; perform inspections, testing, and commissioning of MEP systems.
- Promote health and safety on-site by complying with HSE policies, identifying hazards, and implementing risk mitigation measures.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation including RFIs, shop drawings, as-built drawings, inspection reports, and liaise with authorities for necessary approvals and inspections.
Qualifications and Requirements
Ideal candidates will meet the following criteria:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 3 to 8 years of experience working on MEP and interior fit-out projects.
- Strong technical expertise in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
- Experience in commercial, residential, or retail fit-out projects is preferred.
- Good knowledge of local building codes and authority requirements in Saudi Arabia.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office; experience with Revit is an advantage.
Skills and Competencies

- Strong communication skills to efficiently work within multidisciplinary teams.
- Capability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
- Attention to detail with a strong focus on delivering quality workmanship.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in GCC projects, especially within Saudi Arabia.
- Familiarity with local authority approvals such as civil defense and municipality requirements.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar certifications would be an asset.
