Job Overview
We are currently looking for a highly skilled Mechanical QA/QC Engineer to join our team for a significant project located in Riyadh. This role requires a focused professional with a strong background in ensuring mechanical installation quality and adherence to industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing quality control across various mechanical systems, including HVAC, firefighting, plumbing, and piping. You will conduct thorough inspections to ensure compliance with project specifications and international standards such as ASME, ASTM, and NFPA. Additionally, managing and reviewing quality documentation like Material Submittals, Method Statements, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), and Material Inspection Requests (MIRs) will be critical.
Regular site inspections will be expected to verify that work is consistent with approved drawings and quality requirements. You will also handle non-conformance reports by identifying issues, recommending corrective measures, and ensuring corrective actions are completed to maintain a zero-defect target. Furthermore, participation in testing and commissioning phases, including witnessing pressure and leak tests as well as equipment startups, will be part of your duties.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Between 5 to 7 years of proven experience in Mechanical QA/QC roles.
- Current residency in Riyadh, with strong awareness of local site conditions and regulations.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
- Hands-on experience with quality testing equipment.
- Preferred certifications include CSWIP 3.1 or AWS-CWI (Welding) and ASNT Level II.
