Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Planning Engineer to join a leading plant sector company in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role is vital to ensuring the operational efficiency and reliability of plant equipment by developing thorough maintenance plans and schedules. The successful candidate will focus on minimizing downtime while maintaining strict safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

The role involves planning, scheduling, and coordinating routine maintenance as well as shutdown activities. You will be responsible for creating detailed job plans, managing resource allocation, and overseeing timelines to ensure maintenance aligns with operational needs and safety protocols. Utilization of SAP for all maintenance planning, tracking, and reporting is essential. Collaboration with cross-functional teams—including operations, maintenance, and procurement—is critical to ensure seamless execution of maintenance projects.

Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will hold a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related diploma, alongside a certification in planning and scheduling such as CPSP or its equivalent. Proven experience in maintenance and shutdown planning within a plant environment is highly desirable. Proficiency in SAP is a must, complemented by strong skills in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Familiarity with data analytics tools like Power BI or Tableau will be advantageous. Fluency in English is required, and knowledge of Arabic is considered a plus.
