Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Freelance Mechanical Design Engineer specializing in HVAC systems for projects based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role requires a solid background in ventilation system design and hands-on experience with mechanical design processes in the Saudi market.

Key Responsibilities

The engineer will be responsible for performing ventilation calculations, selecting and sizing fans, and preparing detailed fan layout drawings. The role also entails creating technical specification sheets for fans and louvers, assisting in procurement and vendor evaluations.

Coordination across disciplines is essential, including providing curb and opening dimensions to structural engineers and motor load details to electrical engineers. This ensures that fan selections align with roof penetration sizes and electrical load schedules. The successful candidate will also finalize and sign off on ventilation designs for client approval prior to procurement release.

Required Skills and Experience

• Proven expertise in HVAC mechanical design
• Experience working on projects in Saudi Arabia
• Strong knowledge of ventilation calculations and fan sizing
• Ability to prepare clear and accurate technical datasheets
• Effective cross-disciplinary communication skills
