Gi Aqua Tech announces job opportunity as Filtration Engineer

Key Responsibilities
1. Operational Documentation
o Prepare, maintain, and update SOPs, O&M manuals, and operational logs for UF and RO systems.
o Document operating procedures, start-up, shutdown, emergency protocols, and chemical cleaning procedures (CIP).
o Record operational parameters, system performance trends, and maintenance activities.
2. Operations Support
o Operate, monitor, and optimize UF and RO units to achieve target water quality and recovery rates.
o Troubleshoot operational issues such as fouling, scaling, pressure drop, and membrane performance.
o Act as initiator for Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for operational failures or incidents.
o Assist operations team with technical guidance and practical solutions.
o Identify and implement cost optimization opportunities in operations and chemical usage.
3. Coordination & Validation
o Collaborate with commissioning, process, operations, and maintenance teams to validate procedures.
o Review and integrate design, vendor, and technical documents as needed.
o Ensure alignment between operational practices and project specifications.
4. Quality & Follow-Up
o Ensure treated water meets quality standards and regulatory requirements.
o Maintain accurate records of production, downtime, chemical consumption, and membrane performance.
o Participate in HSE risk assessments, safety reviews, and audits.
Required Skills & Competencies
• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Environmental, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• 3–7 years of experience with UF and RO systems (industrial, municipal, or reuse applications).
• Hands-on knowledge of membrane systems, CIP skids, and chemical dosing systems.
• Strong understanding of water chemistry, fouling mechanisms, and pretreatment processes.
• Ability to read P&IDs, process flow diagrams, and SCADA trends.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills and ability to work independently and in multidisciplinary teams.
• Knowledge of HSE and industrial safety standards.
